Congratulations on your engagement! To reserve the Church of the Gesu for your wedding, please follow these steps. We are here to help you, and we will make sure that everything falls into place easily and perfectly.
The normative location for a wedding is at a parish church. Typically it is the parish where the bride and groom are registered members or at the home parish of the bride or groom.
Email the Wedding Coordinator, Jerri von den Bosch, at [email protected] to make a reservation.To marry at Gesu you and/or your fiancé/e must be a confirmed Catholic that falls under at least one of the following categories:
Persons with no affiliation to Gesu or Marquette are not eligible to marry at Gesu, however our Wedding Coordinator, Jerri von den Bosch ([email protected]) is available to help complete marriage prep to marry elsewhere.
*Parishioner status is given to current, registered parishioners of at least six months, as well as students who are currently enrolled at Marquette University.
The Church of the Gesu is a sacred space meant for the communal celebration of Catholic Sacraments. Persons of other faiths or no faith, are always welcome to join our community, however we ask that you celebrate your special day at another location. The bride and/or the groom must be a practicing Catholic to be married at Gesu.
In order for your reservation to be definite, a one hundred dollar registration fee is required. This fee must be paid within two weeks of receiving your letter from the wedding scheduler. This fee is non-refundable.
