Ray Ellingen

Ray joined the staff at Gesu Parish in 2021, after 15 years in similar positions at other parishes in the Milwaukee area. Prior to that, Ray worked in public administration, employed by and consulting for municipalities and other government entities.

In his role as Director of Operations and Administration, Ray supports all the ministries of the parish to ensure that they have what they need to serve the parish community well. This includes overseeing finances, facilities, personnel and planning, as well as coordinating with the parish councils, commissions and committees.

A lifelong Catholic, Ray attended his parish grade school and a Jesuit high school, so he feels very much at home at Gesu, and seeks to incorporate Ignatian spirituality and Catholic social justice into all aspects of his life, especially his work in the Church.

Ray is on the leadership team of the Business Administrators of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee (BAAM), and a member of The Church Network, a national association of church business administrators.

Ray is excited to be a part of the Gesu Parish community and enjoys working with the wonderful people of this beautiful and historic parish.
