Fr. Anderson is Associate Pastor at Gesu Parish. This is his third stint at Gesu after 1998-2000 and 2007-2009. Fr. Anderson is also chaplain in the Marquette University Law School since 2009. Fr. Anderson taught in Marquette's Theology Department from 2007 to 2022, teaching Introduction to Theology; Honors Introduction to Theology; Old Testament Overview; Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament: The Prophets; Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament: Narrative Texts; The Meaning and the Making of the Old Testament; and the Masters-level course in Old Testament Method. From 2009 to 2021, Fr. Anderson worked in Marquette University's Campus Ministry, serving as Hall Minister in Schroeder Hall, 2011-2015, and Chaplain to the Evans Scholars House, 2012-2021.
Fr. Anderson's studies include Creighton University (B.A.); Hochschule für Philosophie - München (B.Phl); Marquette University (Cert.Ed.); Middlebury College (M.A.); Weston Jesuit School of Theology (M.Div); Pontificio Istituto Biblico - Roma (SSL); and the Gregorian University in Rome.
Fr. Anderson's connection to Marquette includes a professor emeritus father, former faculty mother and sister, and a brother who teaches in the Law School. His parents and all six siblings hold some Marquette degree. (It is believed to number thirteen degrees in all.) Father claims to be dyslexic in over a dozen languages, but tell really no one can.
