Worship Commission

The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the church is directed, at the same time it is the fount from which all the Church’s power flows. Sacrosantum Concilium 10

The Worship Commission nourishes and gives direction to the liturgical and communal prayer life of the community.

This commission is advisory and in support of the Pastor, and / or his designee(s), which may include but are not limited to the Director of Liturgy and the Director of Music in the planning, preparation, and implementation of the prayer and sacramental life of the community. The commission collaborates with and supports the Pastor, Associate Pastors, and the Formation, Stewardship, Parish Life, and Human Concerns commissions.

Members of the commission should include the Pastor, the Director of Liturgy, the Director of Music, Pastoral Council designee and Standing Committee Chair(s) as appropriate and available.

Liturgy Planning and Preparation

This committee plans and prepares the feasts and seasons of the liturgical year, with the guidance of the directors. Collaborates with Formation, Stewardship, Parish Life, and Human Concerns commissions.

Ministerial Development

This committee is responsible for the recruitment, education and formation in liturgical matters for the assembly, guest Presiders, all liturgical ministers, and the Worship Commission itself.
