Each year Gesu takes on the challenge of hosting blood drives on days
of special need for the Blood Center. Our winter drive takes place on
Martin Luther King Day, always a Monday in mid-January. The winter
blood drive includes a chili-fest, homemade chili donated by
our members, for the hospitality of our donors. Our summer drive is
always near the Fourth of July holiday, a time of year when the Blood
Center often experiences critical shortages. Blood Donors and
Hospitality Volunteers are always needed. To become an active member of
the Blood Drive Team, email the Parish Nurse,
Marcia
Isherwood, or call her at
414-288-5288.
