Justice Education

Gesu Human Concerns ministry at Gesu, in collaboration with Adult Formation, sponsors justice education presentations and offerings to raise awareness and educate parishioners about social issues and Catholic Social Teaching. Some examples in the recent past in our Fourth Sunday series have included immigration, racial justice, the environment, Catholic Charities, MICAH president, Central City Churches presentation, Social Justice and Ignatian Spirituality, Ignatian Volunteer Corps, Ignatian Spirituality Project, St. Vincent de Paul Society and more. In the future, in collaboration with Adult Formation and staff, we will host Faith Forums which will also highlight justice education and a variety of topics. Please watch the Gesu bulletin, website and Facebook for dates and details.

Fair Trade Coffee

The Human Concerns ministry of Gesu provides the parish with Fair Trade coffee, whenever possible, for meetings and events at the Parish Center and in the Church of the Gesu. The coffee you drink at Gesu provides a “fairer price” to the coffee farmers in Mexico or in other countries where fair trade coffee is harvested. For more information, follow this link.
